Job Title: MPD Technician – RCD Work (Deepwater Sarawak)

Location: Deepwater Sarawak

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MPD Technician to join our team and perform RCD (Rotating Control Device) work in deepwater Sarawak. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MPD operations, specifically with RCD systems, and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of RCD work in a challenging offshore environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Set up, operate, and maintain RCD equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

– Monitor and control wellbore pressure during drilling operations to prevent blowouts and ensure the safety of the crew and equipment.

– Collaborate with other team members, including drillers, engineers, and geologists, to optimize drilling performance and achieve project objectives.

– Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to RCD equipment and operations.

– Maintain accurate and detailed records of RCD operations, including equipment performance, wellbore conditions, and any incidents or anomalies.

– Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

– Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

 

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 3 years of experience in MPD operations, with a strong focus on RCD systems.

– Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering) is preferred.

– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

– Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.

– Willingness to work in a remote offshore environment on a rotational basis.
