What you will do:
- Ensure the safe mechanical operation of the drill rig, related equipment and personnel that use mechanical equipment as part of their regular duties
- Evaluate mechanical problems and takes corrective action
- Conduct safety inspection of mechanical components, make repairs and adjustments as needed
- Install new equipment, retrofits, and upgrades, and ensure the installed equipment is operating properly
- Order all mechanical parts and ensure adequate stock of parts are available
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment
- Lead job related JSA and Compass Card Meetings
- Remain Up to date on current Workday trainings as assigned
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H&P policies
- Responsible for implementing safety and security measures for protection of personnel against mechanical failure, injury or near miss in conjunction with site management
- Provide regular updates and reports and works closely with site management

- Ability to prioritize tasks, perform advanced troubleshooting, and demonstrates problem-solving skills
- Ability to complete preventative maintenance procedures in a timely manner
- Personally complies with all Company policies and procedures and sets an example for others to follow
- Ability to consult with crews in order to optimize safety and productivity outcomes

- Ability to understand, apply, and comply with federal, state and territory mechanical standards and requirements, as well as related health, safety and environmental legislation
- Willingness to learn, understand, and apply relevant Saudi Arabian legislation as it pertains to drilling, mechanical standards, HSE obligations and expectations, reporting, audit
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in rig drilling machinery and equipment
- Proficient with Microsoft: World, Excel, Outlook and H&P applications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering field preferred
- Pumpback System experience preferred
- Walking Rig experience preferred
