Job Description

Bumi Armada

Summary:

  • The Facility Engineer will be part of the Angoil Bumi Operations Team for FPSO Olombendo.
  • To assist the Operation in supporting the daily operational needs of the FPSO in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on executing the projects and MoC’s in coordination with BAE/Subcontractors.

Main Duties:

  • In liaison with the Technical Manager / Offshore Installation Manager, ensure that the Company’s HSE Policies been effectively implemented.
  • Participate in the implementation of the technical and operational portion of the HSE requirement such as Feedback Form, Deviation, Verification and Offshore Query (MOC & TQ) up to close out.
  • Assist in monitoring and following up of Flag and Class statutory certificates validation, re-certification and / or extension of exemption from ABS.
  • Coordinate the class related Surveys requirement with the local ABS representative, FPSO Marine Superintendent. and the OIM in conjunction with the Technical Manager
  • Assist in closing out internal and external audit recommendations.
  • Follow up and monitor annual equipment testing or inspection in liaison with the OIM/ Technical Manager and vendors or suppliers (Instrumentation, metering, Safety Equipment, liferaft etc).
  • Organize internal debriefing, monthly breakdown and internal presentation. Obtain approval from management for further discussion with client.
  • Issue reporting such as, but not limited to the operational monthly report, monthly performance report, monthly management report, weekly MOM of Internal and External distributions.
  • Periodical review and appraisal of local contractors and suppliers.
  • Weekly follow up in relation with the Purchasing Manager of all PR, PO.
  • Participate in Emergency Response Medivac if required.
  • Provide first line support on a day to day basis for operational problems and other unplanned events that impact on production delivery – Provide technical support related to troubleshooting, spares/ material orders and development of specific technical procedures.
  • Assist with shutdown planning and execution.
  • Closely monitor the vendor/ contractor activities (Offshore & Onshore) in conjunction with Offshore/ Onshore Planner to ensure the schedule and budget maintained.
  • Review site survey reports by vendor/ 3rd party and ensure the recommendations are followed up to close out.
  • Review vendor evaluation form and feedback to SCM/ Management for corrective actions.
  • Follow up and keep the track of Service completion reports and make the GRN/SRN in SAP for job completion.

 

Education Qualifications / Certificate:

  • Engineering or Higher Diploma
  • BOSIET / BOSIET-T as applicable.

 

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years in the Oil & Gas Industry (preferred Offshore & FPSO) and 3 years in a relevant supervisory position
  • Hold a degree or equivalent in one of the following disciplines, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, or Hydrocarbon processing.
  • Relevant experience either on or offshore in an associated organisation.
  • Ability to work as a member or leader of a team and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore staff at all levels.
  • An awareness of budgetary control and the ability to deliver tasks to program and cost targets.
  • Demonstrable experience including time spent in an on/offshore environment with an operator or operations contractor.
  • Presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English / Portugese language
