Job Summary
- Responsible for ordering equipment and parts as required.
- Controlling and reporting of inventory.
- Issuing and receiving of materials.
- May be required to work after designated work shift to receive supply boats.
Responsibilities
- Requisitioning of materials as directed using the applicable requisitioning system.
- Receipt and verification of incoming materials against manifest and reporting any discrepancy.
- Maintain equipment traceability to and from the vessel utilizing manifests.
- Preparation of shipping manifests for back-loaded materials and equipment.
- Monitoring of waste and hazardous waste, ensuring it is stored as per Material
- Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), the vessel’s Waste Management Plan and the Helix
- Environmental Procedures. Maintain Material Safety Datasheets logbook.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 Years as Logistics Coordinator Capable of good decision making and oral communication.
- The Logistics Coordinator has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards.
- The Logistics Coordinator co-ordinates with the Chief Engineer, Master, Superintendent, 1st Assistant Engineer, Chief Officer, Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or any other person necessary to ensure availability and control of all spare, parts and stores.
