Job Summary:
Performing the safe execution of the planned and corrective maintenance all mechanical/production equipment offshore in a safe and competent manner, to maximise equipment up-time and availability under the guidance and supervision of the Mechanical Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
•Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with CMMS schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical equipment.
•Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all mechanical equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
•Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
•Carry out major services, overhauls and intrusive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
•Carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
•Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in CMMS and any follow up work and material required is identified and reported to the Materials Coordinator.
•Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.
•Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management.
•Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
•Participate in Bumi Armada Competency Management System.
•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace.
•Carry out maintenance and repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance.
•Support contractor’s activities onboard and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with Compliance Assurance Management System (CAMS).
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by Marine/ Maintenance/ Production Superintendent or OIM.
•Be fully conversant with the Facility Emergency Response Plan and his role within this plan, and is always prepared for such eventuality.
•Ensure that he has knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policy and instructions. •Attend all required HSE Mandatory training contained within the FPSO Operations ProPass program as detailed in the Training Matrix.
Job Requirements:
•Higher National Diploma / Diploma level in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ 3 in Maintaining Plant and System – Mechanical.
•Five (5) years’ experience in an offshore oil & gas environment preferably on a FPSO or minimum of one (1) year’s experience in the company as a Level 2 Mechanical Technician.
•Relevant experience on an FPSO and detailed knowledge of stationary and rotating equipment (e.g. pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.) operations and maintenance; welding and pipefitting.
•Experience with Safety Management System and Computerized Maintenance Management System.
•Effective communication skills with colleagues at all levels.
•NVQ Level 3 Mechanical qualification or equivalent.
•Offshore Medical.
•BOSIET / BOSIET-T as applicable.
•Flange Management Certified (HiTorq etc.)
