Reach Subsea is leading the global shift to remote and autonomous marine services through our Reach Remote program. We are now seeking skilled and motivated Remote Operations Operators with ROV experience to join our Australian team.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of an innovative operation, working from a state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to deliver subsea services using Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) and advanced ROV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Work-Class ROV systems remotely in support of IMR, survey, and construction projects
- Monitor and control subsea operations from the ROC, ensuring safe and efficient task execution
- Interpret and work with client scopes, survey data, subsea schematics, and operational procedures
- Coordinate with USV Masters, onshore engineering teams, and offshore personnel
- Conduct system diagnostics, fault finding, and reporting for both ROV and vessel control systems
- Assist in mission planning, mobilisations, and remote troubleshooting as required
- Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and maintenance logs
- Support continuous improvement and innovation in remote operations and digital workflows
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an ROV Pilot Technician or ROV Supervisor (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Familiarity with remote operation environments and control systems
- Strong understanding of subsea operations, ROV tooling, and mission execution
- Competence in reading technical drawings, charts, and subsea schematics
- Excellent situational awareness and ability to work in a high-focus control room setting
- Comfortable using digital systems and logging tools in a real-time operational environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team, under pressure, and across time zones
- Australian working rights or ability to obtain necessary work permits
