Assistant Subsea Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for maintenance and repair of BOP stack, control and support systems, hydraulic and mechanical components and component interface/support systems. Monitor all rig subsea systems operation and direct troubleshooting and repairs as necessary for operations. Responsible for implementing and upholding safety and environmental compliance requirements. Work closely with the Section Leaders to ensure subsea systems meet operational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of related experience and education/training in hydraulics and fluid system maintenance and repair; superior knowledge of BOPs and control systems and associated procedures; of riser tensioners and CMC functions; and of all wellhead equipment and running tools.
Ability to perform accurate calculations for riser runs and tensioners.
Completion of all training requirements for the position within the designated time period.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Superior troubleshooting, decision making, and problem resolution skills.
Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations, to recognize and resolve conflict, to plan and delegate work that has been organized, and to think globally.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Skilled in time management, establishing priorities, handling multiple tasks on a daily basis and following through on all tasks to completion.
Proficient in office applications and other systems required for the position.
