Job Description:
- Familiarize with the safety regulations and procedures on the rig floor
- Assist in setting up and taking down drilling equipment
- Operate drilling equipment such as tongs, elevators, and slips
- Monitor and maintain the mud system
- Assist in the inspection and maintenance of drilling equipment
- Assist in the preparation of drilling fluids
- Assist in the training of new floorhands
- Perform other duties as assigned by the drilling supervisor or rig manager
