Overall Purpose of the Job

The Downhole Caliper Log Interpreter provides Cased Hole data analysis and interpretation expertise to oilfield operations for internal and external clients. This role focuses on processing and interpreting both the Mechanical and Electronic Multifinger Tool data to assess casing conditions, identify anomalies, and contribute to high-quality survey reporting. You’ll work alongside experienced analysts and at times with engineers, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and procedures.

This position is located in Houston, Texas.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

•    Process and analyze Mechanical and Electronic Multifinger Tool survey data to give a true representation of downhole conditions.
•    Transfer and validate data from recorded charts and FTP sites for analysis approval.
•    Identify casing damage, deformation, corrosion, scale/buildup and other wellbore anomalies.
•    Generate detailed survey reports with visualizations and technical summaries, data processing, modelling and interpretation reports as per client requirements and contract terms.
•    Collaborate with sales teams to address report results and client inquiries.
•    Review and quality-check reports from other analysts for accuracy and consistency.
•    Flag calibration or alignment issues to the caliper repair team.
•    Support departmental projects and cross-functional initiatives.
•    Track hours per survey and maintain report timelines.•    Escalate survey issues to senior analysts or supervisors as needed.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

•    Minimum 2 years of oilfield experience.
•    Associate’s degree in science, or a closely related field is Preferred. Substantial relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of an associate’s degree.
•    Collating and interpreting data & technical information.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Computer skills with Proficiency in Excel. Word, Outlook and working with PDF documents.
•    Mathematics, critical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail.

•    Flexibility and responsiveness are essential to support time-sensitive data analysis and client needs.
•    Must be willing and able to work on-call and occasionally during extended hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on operational demands.
•    Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for urgent survey requests
•    Satisfactory pre-employment screening results (ie drug/alcohol test, background check, etc.).
