Job Description
Weatherford is seeking a dedicated Repair & Maintenance Technician to support our Fishing & Re-entry operations in Guyana. This hands-on role is responsible for the inspection, repair, and refurbishment of specialized field tools used in intervention and re-entry services. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble fishing and re-entry tools using technical manuals and procedures.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
- Operate hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, checklists, and maintenance logs.
- Safely handle equipment using forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks (certification required).
- Support incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
- Report equipment failures and assist in troubleshooting.
- Uphold Weatherford’s safety and quality standards in all tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in fishing and re-entry services.
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
