The Maintenance Engineer ensures that all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment on the vessel are maintained to the highest level of operational standards. Responsible for implementing and upholding safety and environmental compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 6 months experience as a 1st Assistant Engineer.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in an offshore drilling operation.
  • Must have strong experience with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the company
  • Familiar with application of the HSE Management System and continuous improvement
  • Complete understanding and use of the Noble Maintenance System
  • Must have basic Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) knowledge.
  • Working experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is required.
  • Must be self- sufficient in trouble shooting and repairing systems.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government/client regulations are required.
  • Valid Unlimited 1st Engineer/Chief Engineer national license. USCG license endorsed as: First Assistant Engineer for Steam, Gas, or Motor of Unlimited Horsepower.
  • Valid STCW Advance Fire Fighting, STCW Chief Engineer Unlimited (A-III/2)
  • Federal EPA Universal refrigerant handling (certificate/card reflecting document number).
  • Valid Marshall Islands Endorsement.
  • Strong knowledge of A/C drive power generation systems in diesel-electric and mechanical propulsion systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance, operations and a solid background in electronic automation.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in HVAC/ refrigerant recovery helpful.
