Offshore Operations & Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Required Competence:

A minimum 2+ years’ experience at authorised technician level within either Electrical/Electronic, Automation or Mechanical with a preference for electrical.
Deep knowledge in SCADA/operating systems and how to use data to predict faults and suggest improvements.
Maintain Authorized technician competence.
Is an expert in fault finding of the relevant WTG platform and expert in using OEM tools.
Willingness to train and develop competence across WTG types (3.6 & 6MW DD).
Willing to train to develop competences across preventative and corrective tasks.
Strong commitment to safety culture.

Required Qualifications:

Authorised Technicians 2 – B2: will need to have completed the relevant qualifications with the following additions:

City and Guilds Level 3 NVQ – Electrical Power Engineering / Mechanical or equivalent with a preference for electrical.
SGRE DD L7 Authorised Technician.
Basic Hydraulics principles (Fluid application).
IOSH qualification (managing safely) preferred.
GWO offshore wind trained and offshore medical and Chester step.
GWO Advanced WTG rescue preferred.
